Everyone should feel safe in their community
- Combatting all forms of gun violence
- Battling the mental health crisis and fentanyl epidemic
- Supporting law enforcement and ensuring they have the resources they need
- Investing in public education
As the mother of four sons, Angie knows there’s no higher responsibility elected officials have than protecting our children, whether it be from gun violence in our schools or on our streets. That’s why Angie supports common sense gun reform like universal background checks. Angie has voted to ban military-style assault weapons and passed a law to get guns out of the hands of domestic abusers. She knows being a responsible gun owner goes hand in hand with wanting to keep deadly weapons off our streets and out of our schools.
Protecting our children and our communities also means combatting the mental health crisis in our country that’s leaving us angrier, lonelier and more divided – that’s why Angie is taking on the Big Tech companies that aren’t doing enough to protect people on their online platforms. Angie is focused on tackling the fentanyl epidemic, which is taking the lives of far too many of our friends, family members and neighbors. That means giving local law enforcement the resources they need.
And as the daughter and wife of an educator, Angie believes to her core that the best investment we can make in our future is in our kids. That means fully funding our public schools and giving students a range of opportunities after they graduate high school, including career skills, technical education and apprenticeship programs. It also means lowering the cost of education from daycare to college. It’s our job to build the skilled workforce we need to compete on the global stage and build a strong domestic economy. Angie is working to ensure every kid in Minnesota has a fair shot at their American Dream.
