Minnesota Congresswoman Angie Craig is calling upon her constituents to complete their entire ballot, including the second congressional district race, amid "many outstanding questions" following the death of a third party candidate.
Democratic U.S. Rep. Angie Craig urged 2nd Congressional District voters Friday to proceed as though the election for her seat in November is still on amid uncertainty brought about by a candidate’s death.
This past week, Angie was endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, our country’s largest pro-growth business organization. The Chamber is supporting Angie because she has real world experience in creating solutions for Minnesota businesses. She does this by reaching across the aisle to find common ground that puts local businesses first. On top of that, Angie has received support from Minnesota’s labor movement, including Minnesota’s AFL-CIO — so we know that she is fighting for workers and businesses alike.
From my point of view, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig has earned our votes for reelection to U.S. Congress. Since her election in 2018, she has rolled up her sleeves and worked hard for local folks.
Rep. Angie Craig, D- Minnesota, was among those who advocated to get further aid to turkey growers. The freshman congresswoman and member of the House agriculture committee, in a press release, said she had earlier written to U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue about her concerns of how turkey growers in her state were facing hard times.
Biden issued a statement, saying, "Angie has an impressive track record of working across the aisle to lower out of pocket health care costs, support our students and increase career and technical education opportunities, and help small business owners survive the impacts of COVID 19."
The 2020 election is heating up in Minnesota and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office. Eyes are primarily focused on the presidential election, but voters will also decide the outcome of seats in the United States House. Angie Craig, an Eagan resident, is running for U.S. House of Representatives District 2.

Whether it be physical or mental health, our family has experienced enough to know that we simply cannot afford not to support candidates who want to build towards a healthcare system which does not exclude anyone based on their income, severity, or that does not offer protections against discrimination or preexisting conditions. Therefore, we plan to vote Andrea Nelsen, MD, to be our state representative for Prior Lake and Jordan, and again for Angie Craig for the 2nd District. The value of life should not end at birth, and nobody should be left without the care they need to thrive and survive in our society.
