Rep. Angie Craig Highlights Work to Protect Social Security in Latest Ad

EAGAN, MN – Today, the Angie Craig for Congress campaign launched their latest ad of the 2024 cycle: “David.”

In the ad, Rep. Craig and David focus on what Social Security means to seniors and Angie’s work to protect these critical lifelines for Minnesota seniors – including her bill that would completely eliminate federal taxes on Social Security.

They contrast Rep. Craig’s work to protect Social Security with her opponent Joe Teirab’s position on Social Security.

Joe Teirab has advocated for raising the retirement age and privatizing Social Security – even stating: “Under a certain age, you have to change what the retirement age is going to be” during his campaign for the Second District of Minnesota.

Teirab has also earned the endorsement of Speaker Mike Johnson, who has advocated for cutting trillions of dollars from Social Security and Medicare.

“Joe Teirab believes we ‘have’ to raise the retirement age and privatize Social Security. I believe we ‘have’ to do everything in our power to make sure our seniors can retire with grace and dignity. That’s why I introduced my bill to completely eliminate the federal taxes on Social Security, reduce the federal debt by $9 trillion and ensure this critical lifeline is protected,” said Rep. Craig.
