Angie Craig Announces Police Association Endorsement in Re-Election Battle
EAGAN, MN – Today, the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA) announced their unanimous endorsement of Rep. Angie Craig for re-election to Congress in the 2024 election. MPPOA is the largest association representing public safety professionals in the state of Minnesota, representing more than 10,000 rank-and-file police officers.
Rep. Craig is a staunch supporter of Minnesota law enforcement and has secured more than $6 million in direct federal funding for public safety across the Second Congressional District. She has authored and voted for dozens of pieces of bipartisan legislation to support police officers and their families – with a particular focus on ensuring officers have the equipment they need to do the job, officer mental health and retirement benefits.
“Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community, and that’s why supporting public safety is one of my top priorities. Minnesota law enforcement knows I call it like I see it,” said Rep. Craig. “I’m so proud to have earned MPPOA’s endorsement for re-election and look forward to having their help to earn a fourth term in Congress.”
“Angie has proven that she’s got the backs of the rank-and-file officers keeping Minnesota safe, and that’s why the MPPOA Board of Directors is proud to unanimously endorse her campaign for re–election today. We look forward to continuing to work with Angie to get bipartisan results for Minnesota police officers, their families, and all Minnesotans,” said Brian Peters, Executive Director of MPPOA.
