List of Extremist Special Interest Groups Backing Kistner Grows with Donation from Gun Owners of America, the “No Compromise” Gun Lobbying Group

First abortion, now gun safety: Kistner quietly signals loyalty to radical special interest groups and their most extreme positions in exchange for campaign contributions
Burnsville, MN – Tyler Kistner accepted a $5,000 campaign contribution from the Gun Owners of America (GOA).
GOA calls itself the only “no compromise” gun lobby in Washington DC and has called the National Rifle Association (NRA) “weak.” Most recently, GOA led efforts to block a federal ban on bump stocks, the attachments that can make a semi-automatic weapon fire like a machine gun.
GOA is the latest addition to Tyler Kistner's long list of shady and extremist donors. Just last week, Kistner accepted a donation from GOP candidate John Gibbs, who has made national headlines for opposing women's suffrage.
“Every day, Minnesotans send their kids to school, shop at the grocery store or go to the movies wondering if they’ll be caught in the middle of the next mass shooting, and Tyler Kistner wants to keep it that way,” said Angie Craig for Congress campaign manager Wellesley Daniels. “By accepting the GOA’s donation, Tyler is telling us that his commitment to the gun lobby comes before his commitment to the Second District – and we should take him at his word.”
Unlike her opponent, Rep. Craig believes her support for the Second Amendment goes hand-in-hand with doing everything she can to keep our children and communities safe from gun violence. Earlier this summer, she helped send the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act to the President’s desk in order to protect America’s children, keep schools safe and reduce the threat of gun violence across the country.
Rep. Craig’s commonsense, bipartisan approach to gun safety legislation has earned her the endorsement of Moms Demand Action, Everytown for Gun Safety and the Brady PAC.
