Following Small Business Tour, Angie Craig Receives Endorsement of Mayors from Across the Second District

Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig received the endorsement of several local mayors, demonstrating her broad support across Minnesota’s Second Congressional District from leaders in this bipartisan role.

“Since the beginning of this public health and economic crisis, mayors across Minnesota have served on the frontlines of this emergency. Every day, they see firsthand the impact of COVID-19 on our communities – and work tirelessly to address the needs of their constituents. We all owe these local leaders an enormous deal of gratitude,” said Craig. “I am honored to receive the endorsement of these diligent, dutiful public servants who fight every day to ensure that their cities and towns can withstand these challenging times. I am proud to welcome their voices and support to our campaign – and look forward to continuing my work alongside each of them as we continue to combat this unprecedented crisis.”

The endorsements were announced shortly after Angie completed her district-wide small business tour, where Angie met with mayors, small business owners and constituents in Red Wing, Saint Paul Park, South Saint Paul, Wabasha and Zumbrota. At each stop in tour, constituents thanked Angie for her unwavering support of small businesses and her commitment to working with members of both parties on behalf of her district.

In Congress, Angie has been a strong advocate for my city and my constituents. And she’s shown that she’s willing to work with members of both parties to get the job done,” said Saint Paul Park Mayor Sandi Dingle. “I’m proud to endorse Angie Craig because I know that she’ll always get the job done for Saint Paul Park.”

Since the day she was elected, Angie has followed through on the promises she’s made to my constituents, and I couldn’t be prouder to support her this November.”

This November, I’m endorsing Angie Craig so she can continue supporting our Main Street businesses as they respond and adapt to these challenging, unprecedented times.”
