Angie Craig Statement on Supreme Court Denial of Tyler Kistner’s Request to Postpone the Election in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District

Election will be decided as part of the November general election

Today, the United States Supreme Court denied Tyler Kistner’s application to delay the election in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District, reaffirming that the race will continue as part of November’s general election.

Craig released the following statement on the Supreme Court’s refusal to postpone the election:

“Three different courts and five federal judges, including Justice Neil Gorsuch, have now confirmed what we have known all along: that the voters of Minnesota’s Second Congressional District deserve to have their voices heard as part of the November general election. Tyler Kistner has made his case – three times – and it has been rejected three times.

The real win today is for the voters of Minnesota’s Second Congressional District – who will have their voices heard as part of the November general election and have continuous representation in Congress.”
