Angie Craig Endorsed by Labor Leaders Across Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District

On this Labor Day, U.S. Representative Angie Craig received endorsements from several prominent labor leaders across Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District. In Congress, Craig has been a tireless advocate for organized labor and hardworking Minnesotans, working to expand protections for union-workers, ensure equal pay for equal work and eliminate all forms of discrimination in the workplace.

“I grew up in a labor household, so I know firsthand how impactful a good, union job can be for a family. I’m incredibly proud to have the support of so many devoted labor leaders from across the 2nd District, so that we can continue working together to advocate for labor-friendly policies in Washington,” said Craig. “The organized labor movement helped build the middle class in this country and continues to drive our economy to this day. In Congress, I’ll never stop fighting for the working men and women of Minnesota’s Second Congressional District, and I’ll always protect the basic right to organize for safe workplaces and fair wages.”

In her first term, Angie cosponsored dozens of bills to strengthen workplace protections and ensure all workers have the right to collectively bargain, including the Protecting the Right to Organize Act of 2019 – which passed the House in 2020 and would substantially extend protections for unions and union workers. Her tireless work on behalf of working families in Minnesota has earned her a 100% rating from the AFL-CIO, and endorsements from the Minnesota AFL-CIO, Minnesota Building Trades Council, North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters, SEIU and AFSCME.
