Joe Biden Endorses Angie Craig in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District

Today, Vice President Joe Biden endorsed U.S. Representative Angie Craig in the race for Minnesota’s Second Congressional District.

“I am proud to endorse Rep. Angie Craig’s campaign,” said Biden. “Angie has an impressive track record of working across the aisle to lower out of pocket health care costs, support our students and increase career and technical education opportunities, and help small business owners survive the impacts of COVID 19.”

“I am deeply humbled and sincerely honored to receive the endorsement of our next President, Vice President Joe Biden,” said Rep. Craig. “Throughout his time in public service, Joe has served as a fierce advocate for the middle class, an honest broker willing to work with members of both parties and a strong ally in our march toward justice. I look forward to working with the Biden Administration as he leads our nation in addressing the public health crisis, ensuring every Minnesotan has access to affordable health care and building an economy that works for every American.”

In Congress, Angie has served as an accessible and effective Representative for the people of Minnesota’s Second Congressional District. Since being sworn in, Craig has held a town hall every month that she’s been in office and has had two bills signed into law by President Trump – as many as any member of the Minnesota delegation, Republican or Democrat. She has sought bipartisan solutions to our nation’s health care challenges, passing bills to lower health insurance premiums for Minnesotans in the individual marketplace and save $500 billion in prescription drug costs over the next decade. She has fought to rid politics of corrupt special interests and restore faith in our democratic process by introducing bills to ban members of Congress from owning stocks, sitting on for-profit boards or becoming lobbyists. And she has worked tirelessly to support our communities in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting economic relief packages to keep our economy afloat and writing the bill that extended the Paycheck Protection Program so that allowing small businesses to continue accessing crucial recovery funds.
